Expanding on that previous thought
I’ve come to the brilliant conclusion, at long last, that the disparity of packaging in hot dogs and hot dog buns. I have (despite my friend’s insistence that you’re just meant to burn two of the hot dogs by accident, thus giving as many buns as successful hot dogs… I’m doubtful) concluded that it’s a marketing ploy. See, if you just buy one package at a time, you run out of buns before hot dogs, requiring you to buy another pack of buns. After that, you’ll run out of hot dogs and have six more buns, requiring you to buy more hot dogs. Then you run out of buns and have four hot dogs. This vicious cycle continues until you’ve bought 4 packages of hot dogs and 5 packages of buns. Now, I’m not Bill Clinton, I don’t know what each costs, but you have to spend too much money to break the loop! They should package them uniformly! But then you get into brands like Hebrew National, which sells them in packs of seven. Go figure.
A brilliant thought
Why do hot dogs come in packs of ten when hot dog buns come in packs of eight?
